Here's our house!

It's all finished on the outside! I think there may be landscaping that has to change and we're going to add a fountain but you get the idea. We had our walk-thru today and the house looked amazing! Some minor things to fix on the inside and the cleaning crew had to come back but it was great to see it all come together. Closing is in 6 days!!!!! I was dying to show you all my kitchen....and I completely forgot to take pictures b/c I was so emersed in looking around at everything.

In other news....we're supposed to get 1-2 inches of snow/ice here tonight. This town completely freaks with even the suggestion that it *might* snow. Since they don't have the equipment to handle that kind of weather all the overpasses freeze and they have to shut down all the roads. The kids are excited.

Dave's week in NC was successful. We're glad he's home.

I got a job babysitting a 2.5 year old boy and a 7 month old girl for 4 hours, 2 mornings a week. It will be good to give Cade someone to pal around with. They're a nice family, new to the area as well.

I will be going over to the house sometime this week I think to look at something they need to fix for me and I will be sure to snap a few pics of the kitchen.

Respect Stage 8

Sorry for the lack of updates. Not too much excitment has been going on. As you can see in the picture we are in Stage 8 of the house construction. If you build a home with our builder you know that famous phrase "Respect Stage 8" and the bright red stop sign posted out in your lawn. It means that we are not allowed back into the house until our next scheduled meeting because they are doing all the last minute preparations to get it ready for presentation. I put a few pics of the kitchen with the quartz countertops in. The pictures do not do it justice. The flash messed with the coloring of the quartz, it's darker then what you see. We are very happy with how it turned out.

The kids are doing well. Avery began school at her new school with her new teacher and friends. She is loving it. Cade and I are doing the usual. All of us are excited to get out of this apartment!!!

Kali has been in Florida for the past 2 weeks doing her obedience training. All has gone well and she'll be home this saturday so we're very excited to see her. Meanwhile I've been busy teaching the cats how to use the toilet so I can be done with litter. One cat is learning quickly and the other is being stubborn about it.
