Fall Fest at Avery's school

Tonight we went to Avery's school for a party. They had a teacher trail where the teachers handed out candy to all the student as we made our way through the school to the gym where there was pizza and a DJ. Here's some pics of Avery and Cade getting some candy and then Avery dancing with her friends that are in her class.

A day in the life of Kali

Thought I would give you all an update on Kali so you can see how she is doing and how big she is growing.

First thing in the morning, even before she goes outside, she has to come say good morning to Dave and I. She alternates running to each side of the bed and she nuzzels her head in our necks for hugs. Sometimes she pushes her luck and tries to hop into bed but is quickly corrected.

We feed Kali the BARF diet. This means that she only eats organic raw meaty bones, raw ground meat, veggie slop prepared by yours truly, raw eggs, cottege cheese, whole fat yogurt, nuts, seeds and cheese cubes. This diet has incredible health benefits including a much longer lifespan, many many less trips to the vet, no need for flea repellants, beautiful sparkly teeth that never need to be cleaned, a beautiful coat, no eye goo and my all time favorite.....no doggy odor! Her fur smells clean and her breath smells like nothing!!!! I have the priveledge of being able to talk with an animal nutritionist if I need to -who coincidently, lives in Temple Hills, MD, is a Terp, studied at the National Zoo and is the owner of her own premade packaged raw dog and cat food. I will use her food for the cats and will also send some to orlando when Kali goes for her training so she can continue her diet while she's there and probably anytime we travel with her. If you want to check out Jeni's products visit http://www.auntjeni.com/ And here is a picture of Kali enjoying some beef ribs and veggie slop for breakfast.

Kali at playtime....She loves her soccerball and her football the best. As you can see, just like the kids, she insists her toys be thrown all over the place. If I pick them up and put them in her basket she immediately pulls them all out of the basket onto the floor.

This is Kali trying very hard to not play with Chandler like a puppy. During this time I'm telling her "good girl Kali!!" for not rolling him over. She is desperately trying to be a good girl in this picture. Then trying to snuggle with Chandler, he'll only sit there for about 10 seconds though before he moves away from her. lol

Here is Sebby in his usual place, up high, out of Kali's reach. He's not as brave as Chandler.

Kali listening to me telling her what a pretty girl she is.

Finally after all the playing she goes to her favorite place in the apartment to take a nice nap.

Overall she is such a good girl! So smart it's sometimes scary. She goes just about everywhere we go. She may stay in the car but she is happiest to just be with us.

A punkin pik'n we went

This past weekend we went to Tate Farms. It was so much fun! We met some friends there and played for hours. The kids had a blast! They had bins of corn kernals for the kids to play in, as well as a cage if cotton. A hay maze and lots of play equipment. We took a hayride out to the patch and enjoyed some cotton candy.

Week 6 - More Framing..............but not much!!

Well, this has been a disappointing week as it has rained almost everyday and not much work has taken place on the house. We did get a delivery of lumber, so we have hope that next week will be better.

Avery Loses her 1st Tooth!!!!

This week our highlight was that Avery lost her first tooth. After putting it under her pillow and a long nights rest the tooth fairy left a dollar for her. She also took her tooth to school and her teacher put it in a plastic tooth necklace to wear around all day.

Week 5 - Framing Begins!!!

This week the framers started framing the house while we were on vacation!!!!!

Week 3 - Concrete!!!!!!!!

The foundation was poured!!!!! As you can see some of our framing lumber has arrived. We don't know how long the foundation needs to cure but we will let you know when it starts!

Week 2 - House Pics

Here is the foundation after the water & sewer pipes have been buried in the chrushed stone. The last picture is a view from somewhere in our back yard.
